Thanks and Grassy Ass

November 24, 2011

Yes, this is a sappy thanksgiving post. But the way I see it is that if you’re able to read this, you have a lot to be thankful for. So I’ll start with being thankful for having the snark to tell you to STFU and read the rest of this sappy post.

I started last year unemployed, but healthy. Because of that last year I was thankful for my health.

This year, I’ve been employed, but my health took a downward spiral in the summer, and I’ve been sick on and off the rest of the year. This year, I’m thankful for being employed.

I’m thankful for being financially in a point where I can type this on a Macbook Pro as I watch 30 Rock reruns in HD. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to move forward on my goal of self-employment… hopefully next year that goal will become a reality.

My family is the most awesome family in the world, and I’m happy to be a part of that. I didn’t know being awesome could be genetic until I realized how awesome they are.

I don’t know if my finances will allow me to be as generous as I was with last year’s Christmas presents, but I am both thankful and happy to know that I’ll still give presents this year.

Last but not least, I’m thankful that the readership of La Acera increased threefold in the months since I’ve taken over, and that so far the redesign has had very few complications.

Happy Thanksgiving to our readers!
